===Eng=== '''Themed Tourist Destinations in Regional Korea''' Across Korea, themed tourist destinations have been developed by transforming local natural environments, historical and cultural heritage, and industrial resources into tourism content. These sites function not merely as recreational facilities but as integrated tourist destinations where visitors can experience the identity and stories of each region, illustrating the diversity of local tourism in Korea. Suncheonman National Garden, located in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, was created to protect the ecological environment of Suncheonman Wetland, regarded as one of the world’s five major coastal wetlands, and to promote garden culture. It was developed in conjunction with the 2013 Suncheon Bay Garden Expo and was designated as Korea’s first National Garden in 2015. Covering approximately 920,000 square meters, the garden features World Gardens representing the styles of 12 countries, including Korea, as well as various themed gardens. Visitor facilities include the Children’s Zoo and the Therapy Garden, and electric tram tours are available within the grounds. In addition, the small automated rail system “SkyCube” connects Suncheonman Garden Station and the Suncheonman Wetland, offering views of the surrounding natural landscape. Gimnyeong Maze Park, located in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, is Korea’s first maze park. Construction began in 1987, and the park officially opened in 1995. It was designed by Professor Frederic H. Dustin, an American who collaborated with British maze designer Adrian Fisher. The outline of the maze was modeled after the coastline of Jeju Island. The maze is formed with evergreen Leyland cypress hedges and features volcanic stone pathways characteristic of Jeju. Symbols representing Jeju, such as ponies, dolmens, boats, and the yin-yang motif, are incorporated throughout the maze. Gyeongju World, located in the Bomun Tourist Complex in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, opened in 1985. The park operates more than 30 rides, including major roller coasters such as the inverted coaster “Phaethon” and the dive coaster “Draken.” With the addition of the water park California Beach in 2008 and the winter sledding facility Snow Park in 2016, it has developed into a year-round tourist destination. LEGOLAND Korea Resort, located in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, opened on May 5, 2022 (Children’s Day). It is Korea’s first global LEGO theme park and the tenth LEGOLAND Resort worldwide. The park features over 40 attractions across seven themed areas, including LEGO-themed rides, exhibitions, and interactive programs. The on-site LEGOLAND Hotel offers 154 rooms decorated in four different LEGO themes.
