===Eng=== '''Buddhist Temples of Jirisan Mountain''' Jirisan Mountain has long been regarded as one of Korea’s most revered sacred mountains. Along its slopes stand Buddhist temples such as Hwaeomsa, Ssanggyesa, Silsangsa, Yeongoksa, and Cheoneunsa, all of which have sustained traditions of practice and faith for more than a thousand years. Today, these temples continue to serve as religious centers and important cultural heritage sites representing the Buddhist tradition of the Jirisan region. Harmonizing with mountains, valleys, and nearby villages, they reflect the lives and spiritual world of local communities and remain places of contemplation and healing. Hwaeomsa Temple in Gurye, located on the southern foothills of Jirisan, is the head temple of the 19th District of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is said to have been founded in 544 by the Indian monk Yeongi. After being destroyed during the Japanese invasions of 1592-1598, it was rebuilt in the 17th century by the monk Gakseong. The temple preserves numerous National Treasures and Treasures, including Daeungjeon Hall, Gakhwangjeon Hall, and the Four Lion Three-Story Stone Pagoda. Ssanggyesa Temple in Hadong is the head temple of the 13th District of the Jogye Order. It is traditionally believed to have been founded in 724 by the monk Sambeop. In 840, State Preceptor Jingam restored and expanded the temple, and after its destruction during the Japanese invasions, it was rebuilt in 1632 by the monk Byeogam. Nearby stands a historic tea plantation site, said to be where tea seeds brought from Tang China by Kim Dae-ryeom in 828 were first planted by royal order. Silsangsa Temple in Namwon was founded in 828 by the monk Hongcheok. It was one of the earliest temples of the Seon tradition in Korea and served as the central temple of the Silsang School, one of the nine schools of Korean Seon Buddhism. The temple preserves important cultural heritages, including the Three-Story Stone Pagoda at Baekjangam Hermitage, designated as a National Treasure, as well as stone lanterns, steles, and stupas. Yeongoksa Temple in Gurye is located in the Piagol Valley and is traditionally said to have been founded in 544 by the monk Yeongi. After being destroyed during the Japanese invasions, it was rebuilt in 1627 by the monk Taeneung. The temple is especially known for its well-preserved Goryeo-period steles and stupas. Cheoneunsa Temple in Gurye stands below Nogodan Peak of Jirisan and is believed to have been founded in 828 by the monk Deogun. It is also widely known as a filming location for the television series Mr. Sunshine. Surrounded by the quiet scenery of the Jirisan valleys, it continues to serve as a place for spiritual practice and rest.
